ABOUT JENKINS RESTORATIONS: 

Jenkins Restorations is a leading, high growth provider of residential and commercial restoration services across the United States. Headquartered in Chantilly VA, Jenkins operates from 24 locations providing mitigation and repair services to clients with structures that have been damaged, typically by fire, water, and wind.

JOB SUMMARY:

The Vice President, Operations is responsible for supporting our General Managers in each market, assisting with the managing of daily operations and finances for the business as we deliver excellent service to our clients. This person must have extremely good communication ability, a strong work ethic, and the ability to legislate and manage multiple aspects of the business.

TARGET PROFILE:

A proven leader of people with experience delivering excellent results across many locations is the ideal candidate. Having experience in construction services is desirable as well as having certifications such as those obtained through the Institute of Inspection Cleaning and Restoration Certification (IICRC).

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES FOR THE VICE PRESIDENT OF OPERATIONS:

  • Set strategic goals, develop operational policies, and coach the managers in performance.
  • Lead in planning and implementation of strategies and tactics required to fulfill company and branch objectives, particularly in assuring delivery of a quality product on budget and on time.
  • Understand and monitor financial reports to ensure budgetary compliance with goals.
  • Interface with existing clients to ensure client satisfaction and retention, particularly for escalated issues.
  • Ensure clear and accurate operational performance reporting is in place (daily / weekly / monthly) and that the leadership team fully understands the performance of their business.
  • Visit branches regularly to inspect operations and support excellent delivery of services.
  • Ensure ongoing compliance with all applicable state and federal regulations as well as Company policy and Accreditation Standards
  • Professionally represent Jenkins in the marketplace
  • All other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:

  • Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university and/or 12 years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Demonstrated experience setting, monitoring, and meeting quarterly and annual goals.
  • Full alignment with company values and holding others to same
  • Can manage competing priorities, work under pressure, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced business environment.
  • Possesses strong interpersonal skills for negotiating, presenting, and resolving complex issues.
  • Capable of challenging colleagues in the business in a constructive, balanced way, offering solutions and fresh thinking.
  • Proven strategic planning and budgeting experience.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills with strong negotiation tactics; able to handle conflict resolution.
  • Great attitude, trustworthy, dependable, and a pleasant personality.
  • Proficient with construction related software and applications.
